Washing and drying duvets in Novi Sad: a clean duvet in an hour and a half
A duvet is the biggest thing in the house that needs washing, and the thing that least fits in a home machine. That’s why most people wash it once every five years, or never. Ours fit, and not just one.
How many duvets fit in a machine?
Our machines take 10 kg, which is, for example:

How much does duvet washing cost?

How to wash a duvet with us, step by step
- Buy 3 coins at the machine on the wall.
- Put the duvet in the washer.
- Insert the coins where it says „Za PRANJE ubaci ovde” (insert here for washing) and choose 40 °C, unless the label says otherwise.
- Press START and go for a coffee. The wash takes about 45 minutes.
- Move the duvet to the dryer and insert 2 or 3 coins. Filling releases moisture more slowly than regular clothes, so don’t skimp on drying.

Feather duvets, blankets and wool duvets
- Feather duvets are washed at a lower temperature and dried all the way through. Feathers that stay damp clump and start to smell like chicken soup. When you think it’s dry, add one more coin.
- Blankets are washed just like duvets, they only dry faster.
- Wool duvets: check the label. Many are not machine washable, and wool in warm water tends to shrink.
A few tips
- Shake the duvet while it dries. You can open the dryer at any time, give it a shake and continue. That way the filling doesn’t clump in the corners.
- Don’t put it back in its cover damp. If any spot feels cold after drying, that’s moisture, add another coin.
- Wash it before you store it for summer. A winter duvet stored unwashed is a source of dust and an unpleasant smell in autumn.
